Privacy Policy for AutoAIReels

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you use the AutoAIReels mobile application on iOS and Android (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Services").

The App is operated by Divyanshu Negi, an individual sole proprietor operating under the brand name "AutoAIReels".

Information we collect

Account data, prompts, generated output, diagnostics, attribution, and support communications.

OpenAI, Anthropic, Replicate, Firebase, PostHog, AppsFlyer, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you use the AutoAIReels mobile application on iOS and Android (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Services").

The App is operated by Divyanshu Negi, an individual sole proprietor operating under the brand name "AutoAIReels" (referred to as "we," "us," or "our"). We are the data controller responsible for your personal information under applicable data protection laws.

By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Where your consent is required under applicable law (such as the GDPR), we will request it separately and explicitly — not through implied acceptance.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Informationou Provide Directly

  • Account information (Android): Email address when you sign up. Required to prevent abuse of our free-credit system.
  • Account information (iOS): An anonymous, device-based identifier. No email or personal identifier is collected during sign-in unless you explicitly provide one.
  • Content you create: Text prompts, scripts, style selections, voice preferences, and other inputs you submit to generate videos.
  • Generated output: Videos, images, audio, and other media produced through the App based on your inputs.
  • Subscription and payment information: Handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive subscription status (active, cancelled, expired) from our subscription management provider.
  • Support communications: If you email us, we retain your message and email address to respond.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we automatically collect:

  • Device information: Device model, operating system version, language, timezone, device identifiers (IDFV on iOS, Android Advertising ID on Android where permitted).
  • Usage data: Features used, sessions, time spent, screens viewed, buttons tapped.
  • Crash and diagnostic data: Error logs, crash reports, performance metrics.
  • Approximate location: Derived from IP address only (country/region level). We do not collect precise GPS location.
  • Attribution data: Information about how you discovered and installed the App (e.g., ad campaign, referral source).

2.3 Information From Third Parties

  • App Store / Play Store: Subscription validation, purchase receipts, refund status.
  • Attribution partners: Install source data (whether you came from an ad, a search, or an organic listing).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for the following purposes:

  • To provide the Services: Process your prompts, generate videos, deliver output to your device.
  • To manage subscriptions: Validate purchases, grant access to paid features, handle renewals and refunds.
  • To prevent abuse: Detect and prevent fraudulent use of free credits, spam, or misuse of AI providers.
  • To improve the App: Understand which features are used, fix bugs, optimize performance.
  • To communicate with you: Respond to support requests, send service notifications (e.g., subscription confirmations, account deletion confirmations).
  • To measure marketing performance: Understand which acquisition channels work (install attribution).
  • To comply with legal obligations: Respond to lawful requests from authorities, enforce our Terms of Use.

We do not use your content (prompts or generated videos) to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Third-Party Services We Share Data With

When you generate content, your text prompts and related inputs are sent to one or more of the following AI providers for processing. The specific provider used is selected dynamically by our system.

4.4 Legal and Safety

We may disclose your information to comply with lawful requests from government authorities, to enforce our Terms of Use, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or others.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

  • User prompts and generated content: Stored temporarily in our database and automatically deleted within 30 days via a scheduled cleanup process. This retention is purely operational (for delivery and caching); we do not keep your content long-term.
  • Account information (Android email): Retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion request.
  • Subscription records: Retained for as long as required by applicable tax, accounting, and consumer protection laws (typically 7 years in India).
  • Analytics and usage data: Retained for up to 14 months in identifiable form, then aggregated or deleted.
  • Crash logs: Retained for up to 90 days.
  • Support emails: Retained for up to 2 years after the last communication.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you have the following rights over your personal information.

6.1 Rights Available to All Users

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: Ask us to delete your account and associated data.
  • Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

6.2 Additional Rights for EU, EEA, and UK Users (GDPR / UK GDPR)

  • Right to data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format)
  • Right to restrict processing

Legal bases for processing: contract performance (providing the Services), legitimate interests (preventing abuse, improving the App), consent (where required), and legal obligation.

6.6 How to Exercise Your Rights

Email hi@autoaireels.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days (or sooner where required by law). We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

7. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account at any time from within the App.

Android: Open the App → Account Settings → Delete Account. Confirming this request submits a deletion request to our team. You will see an in-app confirmation that your deletion request has been received, and your account and associated data will be deleted thereafter.

iOS: Since iOS accounts are anonymous and device-based, deleting the App from your device removes your local account association. To delete any server-side data associated with your anonymous usage, email us at hi@autoaireels.com with your device identifier (shown in Settings → About).

Alternatively, for either platform, you can email hi@autoaireels.com with the subject line "Delete My Account" from the email address associated with your account.

Deletion is irreversible. Generated content saved to your device is not affected; deletion only removes data stored on our servers.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 12+ and is not directed at en under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

The App may generate content involving mature themes (including thriller, horror, and crime-related storytelling) when users provide corresponding prompts. Sexually explicit content, nudity, and other NSFW material is blocked by our AI providers and cannot be generated through the App.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hi@autoaireels.com and we will promptly delete it.

Users in the EU/EEA and UK must be at least 16 (or the minimum age required by their country under GDPR) to use the App without parental consent.

9. International Data Transfers

We are based in India. The third-party service providers we use (listed in Section 4) operate infrastructure in the United States, the European Union, and other regions. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries outside your country of residence.

For users in the EU/EEA/UK, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
  • The service providers' adherence to frameworks such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (where applicable)

10. Data Security

We protect your personal information using reasonable technical and organizational measures, including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS for all data transmission)
  • Encryption at rest for sensitive data
  • Access controls limiting who can access user data
  • Regular security reviews of our third-party providers

However, no system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons.

When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Notify you through an in-app notification or via email (where we have your email address) at least 14 days before the changes take effect
  • For changes requiring consent under applicable law, request your renewed consent before applying them to your account

Your continued use of the App after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes acceptance of the changes, except where explicit consent is required.
